As an avid songwriter and student of the craft of composition, I am constantly reading books and practicing to become a better songsmith. As a teacher I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with others and know that educating others helps me grasp concepts more fully. I also appreciate the benefits of collaboration and learning from a variety of sources.  As a frail and flawed human being, I recognize my own weaknesses and my need for accountability.

It is my hope that authoring a songwriting blog will help reinforce what I’m learning, generate inspiration through collaboration, and provide a sense of accountability and personal responsibility for other members of the songwriting community. I pray that my fellow songwriters, especially those who are part of the Florida Christian Songwriters Association, will find this blog worthwhile and will freely share their insights and comments.
